We have more baby bluebirds (called nestlings). The nest box in the cow pen has four baby birds. They look to be between 5 and 7 days old. Bluebird watching is becoming addicting.
My husband and I wear many hats in life. The one we wear in this part of my world is the "hat of wildlife management coordinators." Though we live on a small tract of land, we want to be good stewards of the earth. Our place can produce the food that we need to feed our family and it can provide a habitat for wildlife. This is our journal of the activties we do to provide a habitat that will attract migrating species and provide a sustainable breeding population of birds and small mammals on our little piece "heaven" in Central Texas.
